On Sunday, August 14, 2016 at approximately 4:30 pm Arthur Bustos, 50, of Mira Loma was involved in a serious collision as he was riding his motorcycle with a passenger on Santiago Canyon Road. According to reports, Bustos was riding his motorcycle along with a female passenger westbound on Santiago Canyon Road, east of 241 when a car in oncoming traffic made a U-turn directly in front of Bustos. Bustos swerved to avoid the car and collided with another vehicle stopped in traffic. Bustos and the passenger were ejected from the motorcycle, sustained major injuries and transported to a local hospital. Unfortunately, Bustos died nearly two weeks later from injuries sustained in the collision. The female passenger on the motorcycle is expected to survive. Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of the injured and deceased.
