COLLISSION ON BALL ROAD, 57 FREEWAY ONRAMP KILLS PEGGY LEWIS OF TUSTIN-SECOND OF FATAL VEHICLE v. TREE COLLISIONS IN ORANGE COUNTY OVER THE WEEKEND

At approximately 8:50 am on Sunday, August 28, a vehicle wrapped around a tree resulting in one fatality.  Authorities continue to investigate details of the crash but Peggy Lewis, 62 of Tustin, died of injuries sustained when her car hit a tree on the westbound Ball Road onramp to the north 57 freeway in Anaheim  According to the CHP, this was the second of collisions resulting in fatalities when motorists crashed into trees adjacent to freeways.  On Saturday, August 27, a 23-year-old driver of a Scion was killed when his car wrapped around a tree adjacent to the Chapman Avenue freeway onramp in Orange.   Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and loved ones of the deceased.
