John W. Shaver is a plaintiffs’ trial attorney representing individuals and families who have been harmed by the negligent, reckless, or intentional conduct of another. Mr. Shaver works diligently on behalf of his clients to make them whole following a physical injury or financial loss. Mr. Shaver’s practice covers an array of civil litigation matters, including catastrophic personal injury wrongful death, product liability, and business tort litigation.

Mr. Shaver prides himself in providing vigorous representation on behalf of his clients, regardless of the size of the case or the significance of the issues at stake. Each case is meticulously prepared so as to achieve a maximum and just recovery, whether through settlement or jury verdict. Equally as important, Mr. Shaver remains available to his clients at all stages of their case and ensures the needs of his clients and their families are met.

Mr. Shaver’s legal background includes years of litigation and trial experience as a former defense attorney in which he represented corporations and insurance companies in cases involving transportation and common carrier liability, insurance bad faith, contract disputes, and general liability. Mr. Shaver’s familiarity with the tools and tactics utilized on the defense-side has been an invaluable asset to the individuals and families he now represents. For example, having previously represented some of the largest trucking and transportation companies in the country, Mr. Shaver is familiar with the intricate state and federal safety regulations that are oftentimes ignored by trucking companies and which result in unnecessary injuries and fatalities to innocent motorists. Mr. Shaver currently dedicates a portion of his practice to victims of catastrophic trucking accidents.

Mr. Shaver graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law in 2009 where he received a Creative Problem Solving scholarship. While in law school, Mr. Shaver clerked for the U.S. Attorney’s Office and for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. He also earned the award of Moot Court Distinguished Advocate for his success in trial advocacy competitions.
